Day of Silence April 20th 2012

 The Goal of this event is to support and raise awareness for the Day of Silence while also making it our own.

The QubeTubers community as well as the gaming community in general is a diverse place. We’ve always tried to provide a friendly and safe place for people of all kinds. No matter the age, gender, race, religion, or life-style choice.

Most of us usually game with people who are roughly the same age or gender as us. Some of us like to play with a more diverse crowd. Some of us like to game alone.

By participating in this event you are showing that you accept all of your fellow gamers regardless of their age, color of their skin, or who they want to kiss on New Years Eve.

Streamer Rules

• Will stream for 1 Hour each (Game of their choice - Game Sounds optionally muted.)
  
• Will use a web-cam if available. (Optionally you can wear duct tape over your mouth - just be careful!)
  
• No speaking during the stream. (Except for a brief dedication as to why that particular guest/streamer is doing a silent stream at the start! then they may speak for the final moments of their stream about whatever issue they’d like. They can choose however to instead write notes to show the stream instead of speaking.)
  
• Can communicate however they would like on stream as long as they don’t speak. Typing in notepad, writing on themselves, dry-erase boards, charades, etc.

Chat Rules

• Chatters may type in chat but are asked to attempt not to speak in real life while the streamer is not permitted to speak.
• Chatters are highly encouraged to say their age/race/sexual orientation/religion in chat as long as they don’t spam it. 
• Keep Chat PG-13. Repeated offensive/derogatory comments will result in a event-long ban.

24 hour Easter Sunday Event

This is going to be a simple event consisting of 24 hours of live content including MineCraft, Skyrim, BF3, and more. There will also be some random-game giveaways as well as Easter Events on the MineCraft Server (mc.qubetubers.com) as well as a potential random game-giveaway for people using the Mumble! (Server qubetubers.com default port). So let us be your family this Sunday if you haven’t your own events planned. We’ll make sure your not alone. :)

Recruiting Streamers and Skilled Peoples

Interesting in becoming a streamer? Do you already make YouTube Let’s Plays? We use both Procaster and X-Split and would love to have more friendly streamers on our team! Just read over this document for more information then join the Live Help! Section of the site to get a review.

New Website?! Whoa! Coming soon!

CyaNox is busy coding a new websit

e that will transform Qubetubers.com from a simple streaming community into a robust and resource rich Gaming Community. Complete with Flash-Games, Various Game servers (CS, TF2, L4D2, Killing Floor are some potentials), Articles/Reviews/Announcements, and other great resources all in a spiffy new easier to use layout.

New Game Servers

We are wanting to add some new game servers. Currently we only have our MineCraft SMP. We’d like to add several new servers to our list to give you, the community, more resources to enjoy. These could include CS, TF2, L4D2, TTD, Killing Floor, UT3, and More.

Charity Events

Ever since QubeTubers started in Oct 2010 and I watched it grow from a few

people to a large passionate team, I’ve wanted to focus our goals and resources towards Charity. I’ve always wanted to support the community with game-giveaways and activities as well but primarily I wanted big events that raised awareness and money for worthy causes. Qubetubers has never been and I don’t imagine ever will be used for self-profit of those involved in it.

Further more, the events that are in preplanning are the IndieWeekend2 which would consist of special YouTube Guests and Game-Developer interviews as well as a 48 Hour MineCraft Marathon with special guests. These events are on hold until the new website is up and running.

Money Update

I just wanted to let everyone know we’re now in the BLACK!

This means we are well above what we need to pay our bills for the next 2 months thanks to all of you generous donators and we now have an X-Split organizational license.

Thank you everyone! You seriously had me crying because of how generous you all is!

We’ll hopefully have a fun Charity Event or IndieWeekend Event planned in the coming future for you guys so stay tuned.

Also CyaNox is working on recoding the site so it’s super awesome. :)

QubeTubers is currently in the RED.

Hello everyone.

This is a rather important issue and I’m thankful that your taking the time to read what I have to say right now.

QubeTubers is currently in the RED. We are negative at least 100 dollars, and we will owe another 175 next month (The Website/The Game Servers/The Mumble Server Hosting are all one one machine that costs 175 a month) AND we would like to buy an X-Split Organization License soon before the cost triples (300 now - 900 potentially in a few days/weeks) to enable ourselves to stream at a higher quality AND we would like to still like be able to afford a 20 dollar giveaway every month.

We need, RIGHT NOW, at least 100 dollars to break even + 200 to get us caught up for next month. Click Here to donate to keep the site afloat. Currently I (Syntria) am eating the costs to keep the site up. You can also donate at anytime via the Donation Tab. We have monthly costs so any regular donations are extremely appreciated.

Once the goal above has been reached to keep the site going, we also would like to raise an additional 300 for an X-Split organization license. For more information regarding what this product will do for our site/streams can be found here as well as the ability to donate.  However we need to reach the above goal first. We expect to raise most of this internally and I’ll personally be pitching in for it.
